These terms and conditions apply to all of our services and may be amended from time to time. Whenever booking a tour, using or browsing through this website (both desktop and mobile), you declare that you have read, agreed and understood the following terms and conditions set by
Try Adventure.
Try Adventure is a tour operator, providing multiple day tours around Iceland. Reservations and bookings for our services can be made on our website “www.tryadventure.is” or through any other 3rd party reseller that we cooperate with. Should you encounter any problems, you can contact our customer care department at “info@tryadventure.is” Be sure to provide all information required when booking a tour. Completed bookings will be sent a confirmation email, which includes a booking number. Please bring this confirmation with you on the day of the tour, as this is considered confirmation of payment. Be aware that you are responsible for providing the correct information required by Try Adventure, and that Try Adventure cannot be responsible for any mistakes made during the booking process. Try Adventure reserves the right to change timetables and/or tour itineraries in the events of bad weather conditions. Try Adventure is not responsible for costs and expenses related to flight delays, injuries, weather, war, natural disasters and/or other such unforeseeable matters out of our control. When booking you declare that you are responsible for providing Try Adventure with the correct contact details.
Please note that all prices for the services provided by
Try Adventure are in the company’s local currency, Icelandic Krona (ISK). Any pricing that is advertised in local currency on the Try Adventure website or through approved re-sellers is subject to exchange rate fluctuation. Therefore, any price not advertised in Icelandic Krona must be taken as indicative only with the Icelandic Krona price taking precedent. As a local operator
Try Adventure can not be responsible for currency fluctuations and or additional fees outside its control that may be applied such as bank transfer fees, credit card fees and etc. Try Adventure, Reserves the right to change its rates in case of economic changes, including, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, inflation's, increased cost of supplies, tax changes and other force major events. In case of VAT or other tax changes, the Client contract prices will change accordingly. Price changes affected by tax changes will apply to all reservations, although reservations have been confirmed on previous prices or payment has already been made. All rates are inclusive of VAT and are subject to any official tax changes.
Pick ups and drop offs are of course offered on all tours for Try Adventure. When booking your tour you will choose your preferred pick up location. In the booking process, you'll see our list of pickup locations in and around Selfoss (on the south coast), if your preferred pick up location is not on that list please send us a email at info@tryadventure.is
Direct hotel pick ups are not available in the city of Reykjavik,since big tour cars and buses are not allowed in downtown Reykjavík. Therefor we ask that you choose the closest bus stop for your pick up.
If you are unsure about the best bus stop to be picked up at, feel free to contact us at info@tryadventure.is, and we can help you out. In the event that you miss your pick up, please be aware that Try Adventure cannot be held responsible and that you are not entitles to a refund. You as the traveler are responsible for making sure you are at the right place at the right time in order to meet your tour guide. However, In the event of a missed pick up, Try Adventure will do its best to reschedule you if possible, but cannot be guaranteed. It is your responsibility to reach out to
Try Adventure if you have missed your pick up.
Many of our tours offer an option to “meet on location”. Should you choose this option it is your responsibility to arrive at the designated meeting point at the time required. It is also your responsibility to arrive at the right location. No refunds can be given if you fail to arrive at the designated location and the given time. Any questions about this can be answered by emailing us at info@tryadventure.is, or by calling us on +354 7882466 Please note that if you do not arrive in time for your tour and/or do not arrive at the correct meeting point at the specified time for your tour then you are not entitled to a refund. If you have missed the start time of your tour, you are not entitled to a refund. However, when possible, we will try to reschedule your tour to another day. This is not guaranteed and is subject to availability of resources. It is your responsibility to reach out to Try Adventure if you have missed your tour to request reschedule. TRAVEL INSURANCE It’s always best to get some travel insurance, especially these days, and we at Try Adventure strongly recommend you purchase insurance before you travel that covers you properly.
ICELANDIC WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
The weather in Iceland is highly unpredictable, especially in winter, and occasionally we do have to alter itinerary, routes and sometimes cancel tours. Unforeseen events such as road closures, high winds, floods, impassable routes, white outs are common here in Iceland in the winter. Try Adventure reserves the right to change itinerary and/or routes and to also cancel our tours if the weather is severe/hazardous. If your tour with Try Adventure is cancelled due to bad weather, you will receive a full refund. If you as the customer decides to cancel your tour, because of weather, but we are still operating the tour, you will not receive a refund. We operate our tours as often as possible for safety reasons, and all of our tour guides, have years of experience driving in adverse weather conditions. Due to weather or conditions, your guide may change the itinerary of the day. Please respect your guide if they have to do this. It is with for your safety.
Try Adventure reserves the right to change itinerary and/or routes and to also cancel our tours if the weather is severe.
Appropriate footwear and suitable outdoor clothing must be worn. Try Adventure reserves the right to refuse client to participate who are not dressed properly or with inappropriate footwear as this will put the client’s well-being and safety at risk. Although specific clothing types are not expressed here, it is important to consider that the Icelandic weather forecast is changeable and temperate. This means clothing should account for soaking, windy and cold weather, even in summer. Your guide will have the final say in allowing you to take part in any and all activities based on your preparedness for the tour. You will not be eligible for a partial refund in the case that your suitability stops you from taking part in any activity.
Customers who take part in activities and tours operated by Try Adventure are doing so at their own risk but must follow the guidelines and rules of the guide, and behave in a responsible manner. All outdoor activities can carry some risk, some more than others, and Try Adventure does not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its clients or can be traced to their own actions or are caused by factors outside of human control. When purchasing your tour/activity you agree to these conditions, and fully understand that you take full responsibility for your own safety. For some tours and activities, you may be required to sign an additional liability form in order to participate. It is your responsibility to fully read the tour description, that details what each tour entails. If you are unsure whether you are able to take part in all activities, it is your responsibility to contact Try Adventure before the tour to cover any uncertainties.
No responsibility is taken for losses or expenses due to delay or changes of flights, injury, damages, negligence, weather, war or other unforeseeable causes (force majeure). The estimated duration of tours as indicated on our website, are standard times and can vary according to road or weather conditions. Punctuality is a key objective to our operations. However, delays may occur for unforeseen reasons. The company cannot be made responsible for losses that a passenger may face due to delay, regardless of whether the loss is direct or indirect.
All personal information is strictly confidential and will not be given or sold to a third party. We do offer products and services on our website from trusted partner companies within the Icelandic tourism sector. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
